Cloud Series

The Cloud Series Posters draw inspiration from a vivid dream: I was inside a cloud, moving through it as it swirled and shifted, playing melodies that synchronized into a song as I explored. Initially, I set out to paint these clouds, but after months of struggle in my studio, I chose a different path. This series of posters reflects that journey—my inability to capture the clouds on canvas transformed into storytelling through art.

Each poster features a character that represents myself, her head and eyes veiled by clouds, symbolic of the obstacles in perceiving and painting them. Much like the transformative nature of clouds described in Mary Oliver’s poetry, this series explores change, discovery, and the beauty found in imperfection. Oliver’s words resonate deeply: clouds, though fleeting and ordinary, become extraordinary vessels of transformation, soaking through to the core of who we are.

To bring these ideas to life, each poster is imbued with augmented reality. When scanned, the characters come alive, and the posters play a melody inspired by the dream. The Cloud Series Posters invite viewers to step into this dreamlike space, where art, music, and transformation converge, celebrating the power of clouds to obscure, reveal, and inspire.
